Festival of flowers at Pioneer Courthouse Square is being installed. Thousands of plants are moved into place. I was asked to leave the Square because of my easel. I entered this painting in the Oregon Society of Arists show for the Rose Festival 2010. It has been accepted into the show. This is Pittock Mansion in a rain storm. The Pittock family had a rose garden that led to the Rose festival every spring in Portland.

Here are a few more May 2010 plein air paintings. Portland is called "bridge city". Here is the Freemont Bridge that carries I405 traffic. Much of Portland is under construction. This is the view from the Smart Park garage across from Art Media on a very dark and stormy day. The red building is Nordstroms. Here is the view from Oregon Health Sciences University. The building on the right are the South Waterfront towers. Several are under construction. Teddy Roosevelt rides through South Park everyday. Here he is posing in front of the Ladd Towers apartment building where Peggie and I live. I call the "Teddy meets the Ladd"
