I attended Marcia's January 2011 plein air painting workshop in Santa Barbara California. Here is her website: http://www.marciaburtt.com/
Marcia's workshop was excellent. She demonstrated her clear colorful painting style every morning and then she personally helped each of us as we painted all day long. We worked from 8:30 am to 5pm every day. Except for Tuesday when we stayed till 6:30pm to paint the rising full moon.

This is Cabrillo Drive along the Santa Barbara waterfront.

Goleta Beach has many interesting rocks.

Here is my painting of this scene. I call it the "three sisters".

The last day of class I took off early to paint the Harbor House Inn where Peggie and I stayed.

    I love all the paintings...and most of all that "Harbor House" one....it makes me want to stay there!

Plein Air Painting at the International Rose Test Garden in Portland Oregon, July 2, 2015 with Carrie Holst . It was sunny and bright and hot so we only painted from 9am to noon. We were in the Gold Metal Garden. I painted the bright yellow roses called "Julia Child". Carrie was painting the whole garden including the gazebo.
