Paint-outs for March 2026

​Painters take your mark. Spring color is on the way and better weather is coming. Here are three paint-outs to start our spring with:
 
Thursday, March 12:
Paint Cornell Farm, 8212 SW Barnes Rd, Portland, OR from 1pm to 3pm. Deby Barnhart  (the owner) has invited us to paint the flowers and views at Cornell Farm. Please park out back to leave spaces for her customers. There are restrooms and a lovely restaurant for coffee or brunch.

Thursday, March 19: Paint Willamette River views and St. John's bridge from Cathedral Park from 1pm to 3pm. Meet near bathrooms on the west side of the park. In case of light rain we can paint under St. John's Bridge for cover.

Thursday, March 26:  Paint Magnolias in bloom. Meet at Hoyt Arboretum (where the bathrooms are), 4000 SW Fairview Blvd, at 1pm, then walk to Magnolia Trail. A couple of hundred yards of walking required.

Plein Air Painting at the International Rose Test Garden in Portland Oregon, July 2, 2015 with Carrie Holst . It was sunny and bright and hot so we only painted from 9am to noon. We were in the Gold Metal Garden. I painted the bright yellow roses called "Julia Child". Carrie was painting the whole garden including the gazebo.
