First Week in Portland

Here are a few paintings from my first week in Portland, April 2010.





This is the Portland Art Museum before it opens on Monday, April 19th.
















Here is South Park in the Rain the afternoon of April 20th.














"Earth Day 2010" was painted on PSU Campus April 22nd. They had live music to paint by. Great fun.













"Before the Roses" was painted on Friday, April 23rd, at Washington Park.

Plein air painting in the rain in Portland at the Oregon Maritime Museum aboard the Steamer Portland. Kara Wilde, Paul Lockhart , John Lehman, and I painted under the awning on the deck of the steamer. Nice view but cold and wet. Welcome to plein air painting in Portland. Plein Air Painting at the International Rose Test Garden in Portland Oregon, July 2, 2015 with Carrie Holst . It was sunny and bright and hot so we only painted from 9am to noon. We were in the Gold Metal Garden. I painted the bright yellow roses called "Julia Child". Carrie was painting the whole garden including the gazebo.
