Plein Air Brooks

Plein air painting from the Steamer Portland, Oregon Maritime Museum. It rained all afternoon.  I left when the rain stopped at 3:30pm, but John Lehman stayed and got locked aboard the steamer as the crew left at 4pm. Yiikes. Painting indoors on a really rainy day in Portland Oregon. Last Thursday, October 20. The Oregon Rail Heritage Center lets us paint indoors where it is 70F and dry on rainy Thursdays. Here is a painting of #4449 Freedom Train that went coast to coast in 1976 to celebrate the United States bicentennial. This train will pull the Christmas train starting the day after Thanksgiving. Painting St. John's Bridge today from Cathedral Park in Portland Oregon with help from Kara Wilde, John Lehman, and Paul Lockhart. Painting the Portland Steamer also called the Oregon Maritime Museum yesterday, October 20, 2016. The pesky sun came out and changed the light and shadows...over and over. Painting in the rain in Portland Oregon. The clouds get darker and darker until John Lehman and I had to move under cover at the CLSB, Collaborative Life Sciences Building where we are painting. Painting October Market colors at Shemanski Square today at Wednesday Market Portland Oregon. John Lehman joined me at the Market. Painting Benson House on Portland State University Campus. This is PSU's alumni center. The leaves are just starting to turn on the bright sunny day in Portland.  John Lehman and Paul Lockhart were also painting the Benson House. Lots of students on campus.
