Plein Air Brooks

After all the roses have been trimmed at the International Rose Test Garden in Portland Oregon we are left with the fall colors of the trees and shrubs. This is a do-over painting of the Rose Gift Shop. The backhoe in the background is picking up the rose stems that have been cut. Several plein air painter are here to record the event. Plein air painting at the Vietnam Memorial in Portland Oregon November 11, 2015 with Kara Wilde, Humberto Gonzalez and Yolanda Valdes-Rementeria.  After raining over night it was cool and cloudy at Hoyt Arboretum. Fall colors were in abundance. Several people stopped to talk as if talking to another person would make being here in the quiet memorial easier. Humberto Gonzalez with his watercolors. Centennial Mills are being deconstructed as we speak. So  Dotty Hawthorne, Kara Wilde and I plein air painted the Centennial Mill Monday, November 9, 2015. Kara is the painter in the background of this video. I am painting over an old painting, technical term a "do-over". Humberto Gonzalez paintings (9 paintings) are on display at Frame Central at NW 13th and NW Davis in Portland Oregon. Stunning paintings. I took these pictures through the window so the reflection is terrible. You have to see these the actual watercolors to appreciate them. Thanks Humberto.

Standing on Tilikum Crossing you can see pedestrian/bikes/buses/trolleys and MAX Rail using this bridge. Nice sunning day in Portland Oregon. Kara Wilde and Humberto Gonzalez joined me to paint today.
