Plein Air Brooks

TriMet is opening it's new bridge, Tilikum Crossing, September 12, 2015. To help celebrate this opening several plein air artists are painting Tilikum. This paintout was August 30, 2015.  I took a video of Bets Cole painting and several pictures of the other artists. Here is the video and a few of the pictures. Inn at the 5th in Eugene Oregon paint by Brooks  Paint out at Celebrate Eugene August 22, 2015. Very nice plein air event in Eugene. A hundred or so close friends painted all over Eugene. The paintings are at the Hult Center in Eugene through September 2, 2015. A great team of volunteers put this event together. Plein air painting at Salmon Street Springs Fountain in Portland Oregon today. This fountain changes spray pattern every 30 minutes making it madding to paint. Plein air painting with Jackie Lukowski at Wednesday Market, Shemanski Square, Portland Oregon. You can see the overexposure in the background where the pesky sun came out today. It was overcast until about 10 am. Lots of people at the market today. I started a video, but it got bumped and turned off in the middle...oops. Things like this happen when plein air painting. Ira Keller Fountain is always a challenge. Rectangular pools hold 75,000 gallons and the flow rate is 13,000 gallons per minute (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keller_Fountain_Park).  The pools are serene and the falls are full of action...both in the same painting.
