Plein Air Brooks

Veritable Quandary Restaurant in Portland Oregon will be closing at the end of September 2016. VQ is a friendly restaurant and very good food. To remember VQ I am plein air painting the VQ building. Kids come to Wednesday market every week. Here are a few 3-4 year old kids visiting the Wednesday Farmer's Market in Shemanski Square Portland Oregon. They always stop and ask what I am painting, and they never hold still. They are terrible models. Kids at Wednesday Market

Plein air painting with Jacki Lukowski and John Lehman. Here is a video of my painting the bridge across Danford Balch creek. Danford was the first person legally hanged in Oregon territory on October 17,  1859 for shooting his son-in-law after he eloped with Balch's 16 year old daughter. Plein air painting the fountain in Peninsula Park Portland Oregon today, August 16, 2016. The bright sun washes out all the color of the roses in the background of this video. That pesky sun does the same thing to my vision so I have to paint fast. Here is a video starting with a previous rose painting. This is a do-over. Plein air painting moving water and moving kids today at Salmon Street Springs Fountain. This is what 90+ looks like in Portland. Very sunny and bright. Plein air painting the Tomato vendor at Wednesday Market in Shemanski Square today. The McSmiths from Boulder Colorado purchased this painting. A yellow rose named "Monkey Business" caught my eye this morning at the International Rose Test Garden in Portland Oregon. The sky is misty and overcast. Baird's Peaches at Wednesday Market in Shemanski Square Portland Oregon today, August 3, 2016. Lots of shoppers at market today. This is a do-over.
