After all the roses have been trimmed at the International Rose Test Garden in Portland Oregon we are left with the fall colors of the trees and shrubs. This is a do-over painting of the Rose Gift Shop. The backhoe in the background is picking up the rose stems that have been cut. Several plein air painter are here to record the event. Humberto Gonzalez, Yolanda Valdes-Rementeria, Kara Wilde and myself, Brooks. Here is a stop motion video of my painting.
Plein air painting in the rain in Portland at the Oregon Maritime Museum aboard the Steamer Portland. Kara Wilde, Paul Lockhart , John Lehman, and I painted under the awning on the deck of the steamer. Nice view but cold and wet. Welcome to plein air painting in Portland.
