Paint Portland Steamer October 19, 2016

Painting the Portland Steamer also called the Oregon Maritime Museum yesterday, October 20, 2016. The pesky sun came out and changed the light and shadows...over and over. You can see why the bright sun is not always the artist's friend.  John Lehman and Paul Lockhart were also painting the ship.

Plein air painting in the rain in Portland at the Oregon Maritime Museum aboard the Steamer Portland. Kara Wilde, Paul Lockhart , John Lehman, and I painted under the awning on the deck of the steamer. Nice view but cold and wet. Welcome to plein air painting in Portland.
