Rose Festival Show Painting

I entered this painting in the Oregon Society of Arists show for the Rose Festival 2010.
It has been accepted into the show.












This is Pittock Mansion in a rain storm. The Pittock family had a rose garden that led to the Rose festival every spring in Portland.

    Hi Brooks, I saw your wonderful painting up in the gallery last Thursday; they were having a movie by Zbuvnik. Great skill and thick Australian accent. I love calligraphic marks in his work. Hope to see you at the next Paint out on Tuesday - Albers Mill.

Plein Air Painting at the International Rose Test Garden in Portland Oregon, July 2, 2015 with Carrie Holst . It was sunny and bright and hot so we only painted from 9am to noon. We were in the Gold Metal Garden. I painted the bright yellow roses called "Julia Child". Carrie was painting the whole garden including the gazebo.
