June 2013 Paintouts
June 2013 Paintouts
We must paint the Rose
Festival this week with Dragon Boat races and mini Fleet week. The Broadway Bridge
also deserves our attention as it celebrates its 100 anniversary. Keep Painting
outside.
Brooks Hickerson , 541-520-1423 cell, (call if you cannot
find pleinair painters…we are out there somewhere.)
June 6, Thursday, Find the Fleet Paintout. Canadian and
Coastguard ship on the Willamette waterfront between the Burnside and Morrison
Bridges (I hope). I plan to be there 10am to 2pm.
June 8, Saturday, Paint the Dragon Boat Races from across
the Willamette River near the OMSI. View of Portland in the background. I plan
to be there 10am to 2pm. Parking near the OMSI.
June 9, Sunday, Paint the Rose Parade Floats up close and
standing still. They will be on display along SW Naito from 11am to 4pm. I plan
to be painting from 1-4pm.
June 13, Thursday, Paint down town Lake Oswego at Millenium
Plaza Park. The Lakewood Art Festival is next week. I will be there from
11am-3pm.
June 20, Thursday, Paintout at Rose Test Garden in
Washington park, Portland, Or. I plan to be there 10am to 3pm.
June 27, Thursday and June 29 Saturday, Paint the Broadway
Bridge.
Broadway Bridge opened April 22, 1913.
It deserves a painting. There is a parking lot near 1200 NW
Naito or on the street. Good views from in front of the Waterfront Pearl Condos
on the Willamette River.
I will be there late from 1-5 pm when the sun will light
international orange bridge.
