December 11, 2014 was the day of the great wind in Portland.,,30-70 knots.
Engine 700 is decorated for the Christmas train rides so I had to paint her.

Plein Air Painting at the International Rose Test Garden in Portland Oregon, July 2, 2015 with Carrie Holst . It was sunny and bright and hot so we only painted from 9am to noon. We were in the Gold Metal Garden. I painted the bright yellow roses called "Julia Child". Carrie was painting the whole garden including the gazebo.
