Plein air painting of Portland skyline today, May 9, 2015. This is a "do-over". It was originally a Jamison Square fountain painting and it becomes Portland with the Tom McCall park and the Willamette River in the foreground. Painting by Plein Air Brooks. Sandra Pearce and Carrie Holtz were also painting Portland. Portland got painted today. We were standing on the east side of the Willamette River near the OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry)

Plein air painting in the rain in Portland at the Oregon Maritime Museum aboard the Steamer Portland. Kara Wilde, Paul Lockhart , John Lehman, and I painted under the awning on the deck of the steamer. Nice view but cold and wet. Welcome to plein air painting in Portland. Plein Air Painting at the International Rose Test Garden in Portland Oregon, July 2, 2015 with Carrie Holst . It was sunny and bright and hot so we only painted from 9am to noon. We were in the Gold Metal Garden. I painted the bright yellow roses called "Julia Child". Carrie was painting the whole garden including the gazebo.
