USS Champion (MCM-4) plein air painting by Brooks Hickerson, pleinairbrooks. The USS Champion is visiting Portland  for the 2015 Rose festival. I painted it today, June 4, 2015, docked near the Morrison Steet Bridge on the Willamette River. The sun and shade changed constantly and drove me crazy.

Plein air painting in the rain in Portland at the Oregon Maritime Museum aboard the Steamer Portland.
