Plein air painting the 5000 roses at Peninsula Park Portland Oregon today, June 22, 2017 with Kara Wilde and Paul Lockhart. Boy did we have to paint fast. 5000+ roses in Peninsual Park and 75 variaties of roses. Boy are my arms tired. Paul won the award for the most roses in one painting. Congratulations Paul.

Plein air painting in the rain in Portland at the Oregon Maritime Museum aboard the Steamer Portland. Kara Wilde, Paul Lockhart , John Lehman, and I painted under the awning on the deck of the steamer. Nice view but cold and wet. Welcome to plein air painting in Portland. I painted the Smith Block, an "iron" building on SW Naito. Walkers along the waterfront today were very scarce. A little misty rain and everyone disappears. Kara painting Burnside Bridge. "Sunny Portland", "Congregational Church", and "Benson House" are all in the Oregon Society of Artists show "60+ the New 40s". This show will be on display January 9, 2011 through January 31, 2011, at 2185 SW Park Place, Portland Oregon. The OSA gallery is open 1-4pm Tuesday - Saturday. "Sunny Portland" image is 15x22 inches acrylic. "Congregational Church" image is 22x15 inches acrylic. Benson House image is 15x22 inches - acrylic.
