Plein air painting the 5000 roses at Peninsula Park Portland Oregon today, June 22, 2017 with Kara Wilde and Paul Lockhart. Boy did we have to paint fast. 5000+ roses in Peninsual Park and 75 variaties of roses. Boy are my arms tired. Paul won the award for the most roses in one painting. Congratulations Paul.

Plein air painting in the rain in Portland at the Oregon Maritime Museum aboard the Steamer Portland. Kara Wilde, Paul Lockhart , John Lehman, and I painted under the awning on the deck of the steamer. Nice view but cold and wet. Welcome to plein air painting in Portland. I painted the Smith Block, an "iron" building on SW Naito. Walkers along the waterfront today were very scarce. A little misty rain and everyone disappears. Kara painting Burnside Bridge.
