Painting Portland and the Hawthorne Bridge from across the Willamette River by the OMSI, Oregon Museum of Science and Industry. Great place to paint with Humberto Gonzalez, Paul Lockhart, and Kara Wilde. The barges in the foreground are dredging the Willamette and little deeper.

Plein air painting in the rain in Portland at the Oregon Maritime Museum aboard the Steamer Portland. Kara Wilde, Paul Lockhart , John Lehman, and I painted under the awning on the deck of the steamer. Nice view but cold and wet. Welcome to plein air painting in Portland. I painted the Smith Block, an "iron" building on SW Naito. Walkers along the waterfront today were very scarce. A little misty rain and everyone disappears. Kara painting Burnside Bridge.
