September 2024 Paintouts

Oregon Society of Artist’s Plein Air and Alla Prima Exhibition will be juried by Ned Mueller who will also be leading a workshop October 4-6, "Figures in Landscapes". This is our show. OSA is accepting entries through September 22nd. https://canvas.osartists.org/exhibitions
We are painting as many Caroline Cats of Portland as we can into September. Here is the paint-out list for September 2024:
Thursday, September 5th: Paint the Peninsula Park Rose garden from 10 am to 12:30pm. The fountain should be back on.(no Cats at this location)
Tuesday, September 10th: Paint Cat and Hawthorn Bridge near King Tide restaurant, Kimpton Riverplace Hotel, 1510 S Harbor Way from 10 am to 12:30pm. Parking along S Harbor Way.
Thursday, September 12th: Paint the roses and the rose garden cat at the International Rose Test Garden, 400 SW Kingston Ave from 10am to 12:30pm.
Tuesday, September 17th: Paint the Viking Pavilion Cat and PSU views at 930 SW Hall St. from 10am to 12:30pm. PSU parking lots should be available. Fall term does not start till 9/30/2024.
Thursday, September 19th: Paint the cat and Hawthorne Bridge from Salmon Street Springs, 1000 SW Naito, from 10am to 12:30pm. Parking on Naito. There is another cat at the World Trade Center across the street from the fountain.
Tuesday, September 24: Paint the Jamison Square Park Cat at 810 NW 11th Ave, from 10am to 12:30pm.
Thursday, September 26: Paint North Park Blocks Cat at NW Everett and NW 8th Ave. from 10am to 12:30pm.

Plein air painting in the rain in Portland at the Oregon Maritime Museum aboard the Steamer Portland. Kara Wilde, Paul Lockhart , John Lehman, and I painted under the awning on the deck of the steamer. Nice view but cold and wet. Welcome to plein air painting in Portland. Plein Air Painting at the International Rose Test Garden in Portland Oregon, July 2, 2015 with Carrie Holst . It was sunny and bright and hot so we only painted from 9am to noon. We were in the Gold Metal Garden. I painted the bright yellow roses called "Julia Child". Carrie was painting the whole garden including the gazebo. Oregon Society of Artists January 2011 Show

"Sunny Portland", "Congregational Church", and "Benson House" are all in the Oregon Society of Artists show "60+ the New 40s". This show will be on display January 9, 2011 through January 31, 2011, at 2185 SW Park Place, Portland Oregon. The OSA gallery is open 1-4pm Tuesday - Saturday. "Sunny Portland" image is 15x22 inches acrylic. "Congregational Church" image is 22x15 inches acrylic. Benson House image is 15x22 inches - acrylic.
