Plein Air Painting at Tyron State Park in Portland Oregon October 11, 2015. The pesky sun played havoc with the middle of this video. At the end of the video we got some clouds that allowed both the painting and the background to show up. Video of Brooks Painting.
Plein air painting in the rain in Portland at the Oregon Maritime Museum aboard the Steamer Portland. Kara Wilde, Paul Lockhart , John Lehman, and I painted under the awning on the deck of the steamer. Nice view but cold and wet. Welcome to plein air painting in Portland. I painted the Smith Block, an "iron" building on SW Naito. Walkers along the waterfront today were very scarce. A little misty rain and everyone disappears. Kara painting Burnside Bridge.
