Plein air painting in the Rose Test Garden June 1, 2016

Painting today in the Rose Test Garden in Portland Oregon with Humberto Gonzalez, Kara Wilde , and Peggie Moje. The roses are at their early peak...so the garden is full of tourists and roses. There are two videos. One of me painting with gouache on hot-pressed watercolor paper and one of an hours of Humberto painting watercolor on cold-pressed watercolor paper. Humberto's painting is not done, but you can see where he is going with this painting. Humberto is a master of leaving the white paper to guide your eyes through the painting.
